Cactus IDs please

Post by MikeDom »

Can anyone provide an ID for these cacti please? These are the only photos I’ve got as they’ve not arrived in my possession yet. Thank you.

Active grower of caudiciform succulents and mesembs. I don't really grow cacti (very often).

I'd say 1 and 3 are Echinopsis, probably hybrids or a species but tricky to say from current photos. 1 looks very etiolated and in good light I'd say it will look much more like number three.

Number 2 is Chamacereus sylvestrii or a hybrid that will probably fall under x Chamaelobivia.

See what the flowers are like hopefully come next summer.

Number 1 looks like it's about to start a drunken fight with its own shoes.

I agree with above. Exchinopsis X, chamaecereus sylvestrii, Echinopsis Y. All three look like they could do with a little more light, if you can.
