Aloe suffulta

Post by Herts Mike »

This Aloe is not seen so often and it has leaves that colour up beautifully in summer. It’s flowering for the first time but has the most ridiculously long flower spike which is still growing!

Well, I had to look that one up. Apparently, suffulta means propped up from underneath, supported.

The plant and its inflorescence are supported by the thorny bushes though which it grows. The inflorescence can get to 2¼ metres tall. How tall is yours, so far?

You need some (succulent) bushes to prop it up, Mike!
