editing profile

Post by Paul D »

I'm posting here as the support forum is switched off for new threads- apologies if there is a more appropriate place to put it.
I went to look at my forum profile today and found that the "role within BCSS" was set to "Chairman- Research"! I don't know how this happened, it was Committee Member before. To my knowledge there is no such post... I went to change it and was given the message that I don't have permission to edit it. Is there a problem with the forum, or am I doing something wrong?

There's definitely something wrong as my role had changed to Show Secretary. However, I was able to switch it to Forum Moderator.

I can't edit others' profiles, sorry; looks like Bill will need to look into this.

I can't login with my saved username and password at the moment.
I've not changed these credentials. The login comes back with "user does not exist".
I still have some login access as I think because I have a "remember me" session saved that still works.
The username I was using matches the one in my user settings.

Tina appears to be a Chairman-Research as well and sending dodgy messages. Looks like a scam hack rather than normal gremlins.

Hey guys, you are welcome to my job if you want it!

I am the real Research Committee Chairman. Accept no impostors!

I presume Bill changed this when I recently took on the job, and something didn't go quite right.

I'm still unable to edit, as the forum tells me I don't have permission to edit my own profile.
