Hi Both, Tina and esp

Having thought about it a bit, I'd be happy to give them a home as trying to predict who might want what is a mugs game. So if you have them spare still, do send them to me for the pool.

Best wishes
Chris

Hi Chris,
Ok I will do & some ario retusus seed, this is from Japanese cultivars so you could end up with some interesting plants ( in 10 or 20 years time  )

Just wanted to say I've now had 100% germination with my seeds from the Forum seed pool. Amazing 😁. Thanks to Chris for running it and all the donors. I shall be donating some seeds soon too.

I must add I have always had excellent germination from the seed pool. Long may it continue.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad to know the seed is OK, its something I am always a bit nervous about keeping it too long, as, to use the popular Coronavirus catchphrase, there is a lack of "clarity" about how long it remains viable.

I have had the seeds which came with my membership for a month. I didnt sow straight away as I had a holiday in June. Is September a bad time to sow them? Should I wait until spring? I have a greenhouse but the heating I will use will only be minimal to keep frost free, eg to 7 to 10 degrees at most. I dont mind keeping them in my conservatory, but I am aware daylight hours will be short.

Hi,
Personally, I wouldn't sow in September unless you can provide heating to maybe 25C and light. But I would suggest you ask in the main forum rather than at the end of this thread, which is not where most members would go to.

I’ve got some spare mixed Echinopsis / Trichocereus hybrid seeds. These are from Schick and Wessner hybrid mother plants. It would be pot luck what comes out, but the results could be interesting. I’ve had great germination from my sowing. Would you like me to send you what I have left, probably over 200 seeds?

Owing to the current BREXIT situation, and given that this is a free service for members, I don't plan to send any seeds from the Pool outside mainland UK, or sadly to receive any from non UK sources. Its a sad state of affairs, but Ithere we are!
