As I have managed to make a little space in my greenhouse by rearranging plants I decided to have a cross country trip to see what was in the "stock reduction sale" (as advertised in current journal)

We used to holiday in the Skegness area and we always tried to visit the nursery at Candlesby. Part of the fun would be to see if they were in or not as we went past. If the sign was out we'd always stop, because it might not be later in the week.

Quite a lot of plants that I've got came from there.

I only took the four above, some of the bigger cacti are in the harrogate show thread (on their display)

Just taken my purchases to the greenhouse, seems most of the spaces I thought I had have disappeared while I was away I only bought six plants (all from Crassula group) but that is twice as many as I thought I had space for. I suspect more plants are going to find homes by the trunks of my large C. ovata as there is a lot of "wasted" space between the trunk and the rim of the bowl.

They look to have a huge Oxalis problem.......... and I reckon a good example of a lot of space with not enough time or personell to care for it properly. Shame.

Who doesn't have an Oxalis problem after a few years of growing Succulents?

I've managed neaqrly 40 years with no Oxalis problem, odd seedlings pop up in bought in plants but are easy to remove. It's only a problem if left to flower. I find the small leaved grey crassula type thing much more of a problem.

I have a viola problem, then again they are quite pretty

I can't get rid of violas. They've got deep roots and are hard to remove from pots. The flowers are pretty but don't last long - and I like to have flowers where I choose.
