Post by Tony R »

Message on behalf of Roger Ferryman and Bill Darbon:

Auction of the late Brian Robinson’s collection

An Auction of plants from the collection of Brian Robinson is being arranged on September 19th 2021 on behalf of his widow. Brian was chairman of the Barrow in Furness branch of the BCSS for many years until it ceased to hold regular meetings a few years ago. Well known in northern and Scottish circles Brian was a regular member of the Scottish European tours and attended ELK conventions for several years. Both events provided many of Brian’s fabulous collection.
His love of Ariocarpus is there to see - over 80 specimens will be available as well as many mature Copiapoa and sizeable Ferocactus. It is a mixed collection with some stunning plants of most genera including Gymnocalycium, Lophophora, Mammillaria, Thelocactus and Soehrensia.
There are also a few sizeable succulents as well.

The collection was moved from Brian’s home in Barrow in Furness prior to Covid and has been housed in a commercial nursery, where they are under the care of Roger Ferryman.
For full details of the list of plants being offered please contact either
Roger Ferryman at rmf@f2s.com or
Bill Darbon at william.darbon77@btinternet.com
ALL PLANTS will be sold as seen. There will be approximately 320 lots and a number of sales plants available on the day.

The auction will take place near Redditch on September 19th with viewing from 9.00am and the auction to commence at 11.00am. The site is a commercial nursery so please ensure you respect the owner’s property and possessions. There is limited parking available onsite.
Please indicate your intention to attend, as we may have to monitor the
number of attendees. Please register by Monday 6th September.
If numbers reach the maximum number in respect of Health & Safety and any potential Covid Risk a reserve list will be held in case of drop outs.

Thank you.

Roger and Bill.

Thank you for sharing this! Is there a chance you could attach an editable document or alphabetically sorted pdf?
