Not planted by me, but grown on quite unintentionally. It was a "passenger" in the Opuntia humifusa pot when I purchased same, last year.
Has it grown from seed, or has a leaf-plantet dropped off another plant?

It wasn't there as far as I remember when it came from the nursery, unless it was lurking in the pebble dressing. I don't have many succulents, and certainly nothing like this tiny sweetie.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

If you've not seen one before - plantlets grow on the edge of the leaves and drop off and a new plant grows. Fairly nice when small, but then they grow leggy when older.

Yes - thanks Chris - I was aware of this vegetative propagation method.
I was not aware of the stowaway on my departure from the nursery.
I am intrigued by its form and await its development - so if "plantlets" are up for disqualification - so be it - providing of course that this is a "plantlet" and not a seed germination, and I can provide the provenance for neither state.

I am going to pick Tina's Agave albopilosa as the winner. The plant looks so 3D that it could almost be picked out of the screen.

I did have a Bryophyllum daigremontianum that grew in a 2kg margarine tub in my bedroom when I was teenager. It got to over SIX feet tall before it flowered. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of it. I have a mind to try and grow one of these and see how tall it gets and if I can get it to flower.
