March 2020: Cute/Chubsters

Post by HaoBao »

Thank you Roatavator, I didn’t expect that from my first entry! I told my wife I won a competition and she said “What did you win?” “Nothing but I get to choose the next one” She said “it should be something makes people go awww” so what’s that? I think anything cute or round so Pachyphytum, Graptopetalum, Sedum and anything else chubby and cute. I’ve added some to get it started, best of luck!

All my plants are kept indoors and I started collecting in August 2018. Favourites are Pachyphytum, Echeveria, Haworthia, Mesembs and oddball Cacti.

Lovely plants Aiko, they are perfect, thank you

I’ve just realised this competition is going to add some plants to the old wish-list

Conophytum vanheerdei. One of my favourites.

This isn’t very cute but definitely a chubster. Don’t know how others in the UK have got on this winter but with all the dull damp weather I’ve found watering to be particularly problematic, even a very gritty compost stays too wet after only very light splash. Result = very plump dumplings!
