May 2020 - Virtual Table Show

Post by Jim_Mercer »

As we now have a Virtual National Show for your prized specimens this months photo competition is for your smaller plants. Just one class in this show, one plant (cactus or succulent) in a pot not exceeding 10cm. Whole plant must be visible so no flower macros

I'll put up my Matucana aureiflora - checked the pot 9.8cm
Yes - I know it was posted elsewhere too - but the rules allow this surely
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Tricky to.find things looking half decent in less than 10cm pots! Most of mine are in 12cm or larger!

Yes restricted pot size is a nightmare, its often 18cm & my favourite pans are 20cm.
