August 2020: 'Windows'

Post by Echinocactus123 » Sat Aug 01, 2020 11:54 am

Hi everyone!
Thanks Ernie for passing me August this month. So I was thinking yesterday of a competition theme I could do, and the on that popped into my head first was windows. By windows, I mean the translucent, (coloured or not) parts of a plant/leaf in many haworthias, mesems etc.
The photo should catch the light through the plant like a stain glass window. (If possible) And I am looking mainly for good lighting to make the plant sparkle (natural or not) and I am also looking for a nice plant.
Good luck and have fun!

Thanks :)

I'm not sure I got enough light here to suit the needs of the competition, but the leaves sparkle a little when zoomed in ;)

My Frithia humilis in flower (and first approach to the pitch black background, am still not sure what to think about it...):
