January 2021 Namaqualand in my Greenhouse

Subject taken from tonight's Mesemb Study Group, Manchester BCSS and the San Francisco Succulent & Cactus Society Zoom talk which featured Russell Wagner's Northern California mesemb greenhouse.

Exact original habitat location ideally should be Namaqualand but given the fact that I will be the judge then any mesemb will do (and I'm not sure I will spot a plant that is NAS)

The two Conophytum species should follow the rules for Namaqualand, I think. The Muiria is just a bonus.

Conophytum pageae

It flowers at night, so the flower is still closed:

Conophytum burgeri

During summer dormancy, but close to wake up for autumn:

Fully active in autumn, flowering early October:

Muiria hortenseae

Muiria hortenseae
Two different clones compared to the previous Muiria in different stages of development

One plant just produced an offset:

Now both plants have produced an offset, and just came out of their summer dormancy:

Further in the growing season, fully active:

Those bulbine ones are great Giacomo 👍 I’ve never seen those before. Are they difficult to grow?
