You know growing any type of Opuntia is not going to give you a neat looking bench, they always want to overlap their neighbours.
This Pterocactus skottsbergii MK 1198 ( now part of P. hickenii group ) is always pushing it's luck.

Agreed it’s a very untidy plant to grow and prone to losing segments with the slightest touch in winter.

Losing segments Mike, I think you mean attached to your hand :lol:
I do like the two tone spines on this form, but find it harder to grow than the all white spine clone.
