Re: New seed list with tephrocactus seeds out now
I read the e-mail from them this morning, not so sure about the taxa and I have found these NEW species from some Czech seed merchants very hard to germinate, I think I have only three small plants out of five pkts of seed. But that could be me.

Re: New seed list with tephrocactus seeds out now
I had a load of tephro seed from cactus-hobby in December 2015 with similar fanciful names and I had rubbish germination, too. I was surprised as I'd never had a problem with their seed before and although tephro seed rarely comes up like cress I wouldn't expect it to be very easy to kill in storage just because the seeds are fairly large. I can't remember how I worked it out but I formed the opinion that it had been collected in Feb 2015, so wasn't old seed.
I'm still put off by the limbo EU/non-EU status we're in! I don't fancy having to try to explain that we're not in the EU but he should treat us as if we are. Also, it's quite expensive seed - I think I've been spoilt by years of packets at 15Kč.

Yes I agree Phil.
Overpriced and fanciful names, buyer beware I think is the saying.
