Hello!
I'm looking for some background information and potentially a list (I am aware it's extending daily) of the Haworthia pumila cultivars like 'Donuts', 'Emperor' or 'Tears of Angels'. Is there any book, article or similar I could look for?

I am sure at some time they were mentioned in Haworthiad, the magazine of the Haworthia Society.

Thanks! That was my first thought, and I tried to search a bit but with no luck. Hopefully someone will remember the issue and have it at hand!

Re: Haworthia pumila cultivars info
I believe it should be Tulista pumila 'Donut', not ;Donuts', which may help in tracking it down.

Thank you for the correction, although I'm pretty sure the mighty G. would figure out that singular/plural part They're very widely offered as Haworthia, so I guess the move to Tulista happened recently?ralphrmartin wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 5:07 pm I believe it should be Tulista pumila 'Donut', not ;Donuts', which may help in tracking it down.

Tulista Pumila gets 7710 Google hits, Haworthia Pumila gets 80,600. Time to kick Tulista into the long grass.

Most of these Haworthia Pumila forms originated in Bob Kent's collection in California. I thought it was careful hand pollination of selected plants but he told me it was all down to humming birds. He gave up growing Haworthias a few years ago.

Re: Haworthia pumila cultivars info
I bought this from Joyce Cocozza's collection disposal in May 2014. It claims to be 'Mr Frosty', CC1221 CCo218 22/2/92 donuts CC485 × warty CC186/24. Despite the pedigree, it isn't distinctive enough to merit a name, I don't think. The photo is from 2017.
It's not growing very well now and had a reddish tinge recently that was quite attractive. I'll try to get a new pic. The only other I have is one called 'David Grigsby'.Phil Crewe, BCSS 38143. Mostly S. American cacti, esp. Lobivia, Sulcorebutia and little Opuntia

Most of the back numbers of Alsterworthia International are downloadable from https://alsterworthia.wordpress.com/journal/ and they're full of cultivar names if you can be bothered rummaging or scraping.
