Gasteria pillansii query

Post by MikeT »

Information, please, if possible.

I acquired a Gasteria pillansii pillansii from the Sheffield Branch outdoor auction on Friday.
The label has
Haw. Soc. seed
95/84
EVJ 95-15

I presume the 95/84 is the identifer for seed on the 1995 seedlist.
EVJ would seem to be Ernst van Jaarsveld, but EVJ 95-15 doesn't come up as a collection number on Ralph's website. Can anyone shed any light on it's meaning?

Hi Mike,

No, it is the EVJ 95-15 which is the Haw Soc Seed List Ref. No.
See my reply to Jim M on a similar query

Perhaps the 95/84 is the seed sower's reference. His 84th pot of seeds in 95?

Thanks, Tony

I thought you might be able to sort this one out.

I'll put Haw Soc seed 95-15 EvJ on the new label and retire the 95-84 detail.
