Hi
I've recently joined bcss. I've attended a couple of local (North Surrey) meetings and took myself down to the Croydon show last weekend, which I was mightily impressed with - needless to say, came away with a few specimens! I've been interested in cacti for years, but only started collecting them a year ago. Therefore am on a steep learning curve! At present I just want to collect as many examples of different genera as possible, too early to specialise I think. I didn't think I was interested in non-cacti, but I'm pretty much as equally hooked on other succulents too. I'm very impressed by the forum and the mine of information available from so many friendly people. As to be expected, I have a few ID's needed so expect some more posts very soon...

Hi Adrian and a warm to the forum.
When you first start collecting it’s a good idea to just buy the plants that take your eye and not to get tied into specific genera too early. Favourites will eventually rise to the top.
