I've been doing some potting up. Found this one I'd given some water to last week because it was looking dry. When I saw the label I desided it wanted potting up as well as maybe to was directed at me.
Any ideas of an ID
Any ideas for what this was trying to say

The broken label also says ISI 1248.
These were 4 year old plants when distributed, grown from seeds of Aloe gariepensis collected at the type locality, Marinka's Spring, near Warmbad, Namibia.

Well spotted Tony
You've got a sharp eye. I had mis read the label and was sure the plant was calling me a penis. So I dilagently repoted it. Hopefully it will grow into a better specimen.
I will make sure to put the number on the new label.
How long ago was it distributed.
Their are some lovely red ones on google images .
I've got a nice red one can't remember what name it's got similar dots, I'll try and take a pic tomorrow.

Morning Tony
I have the NCSJ journals from 1981 though I don't have any of the american journals.
I'm pretty sure this plant doesn't look 40 years old, though the label certainly does. Do you think it's a pup from original plants.
Enjoy your Sunday, it's lovely and sunny here with grass frost bbrr.
Thank you for the info
