Thanks all for the kind comments on my talk. I've only just looked at this thread again!

Does anyone know if David’s talk will be put on Facebook? Someone on ol’ Reddit would like to know
Plant sales: www.CentralSucculents.etsy.com

Reddit: www.reddit.com/u/CentralSucculents

All my plants are kept indoors and I started collecting in August 2018. Favourites are Pachyphytum, Echeveria, Haworthia, Mesembs and oddball Cacti.

Some of the recent talks have been live streamed to Facebook and then visible for a while. When I had problems with the audio (and video) from Tuesday's talk I looked on Facebook but couldn't find a livestream

Can slides be made available after the talk? Perhaps in a members only section of the BCSS website?

I missed David's talk, on the beauty of plants, which I am gutted about as an amateur trying to find plants that are pretty rather than difficult.

Ralph's talk the previous week on Latin names is one that I would like to refer to regularly. I bought the BCSS glossary of botanical terms which is a great resource but not as accessible as Ralph made the topic.

Thanks Aston
I'm inspired by and searching for Ledebouria, Drimiopsis and related bulbs and cultivation advice. I draw pleasure from a small collection of Turbinicarpus, Eriocyce, Lophophora, Gymnocalycium, and Rebutia.

I think you might find reluctance to this idea since those images / slides / information might be the culmination of a lifetime of work, and apart from that "copyright"
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Thanks, that does make sense - one can only ask...

I'm sure this has been discussed before, and BCSS has a good feel for what's possible. But it feels worth raising again as the Society looks to grow in unusual times. I can also understand speaker's reluctance to be filmed via the Internet these days (I certainly would feel uncomfortable). But it does feel a pity that the talks are a flash in the pan and easily missed.

We've only been having the Tuesday Zooms because we've not been able to meet at our local branches. The Branch meetings and talks have been going on for over 70 years. Hopefully the Tuesday Zooms will carry on in some form going forward.

They are live events - like the theatre and old school television - if you aren't there on the day then you are going to miss it.
