These four Mammillaria herrerae are surpassing themselves this year!
The front double-headed one was purchased at Croydon show about 5 or 6 years ago, the two each side were grown from seed 18 years ago.
The grafted one at the rear was a rescue job from a multi-headed plant that was rotting, and I managed to save one small piece by grafting, a few years ago. It is flowering far better than it ever did on the original plant.
I did set seed last year, Phil, and haven’t yet got round to sowing it! Been meaning to though, and will attempt to soon. The seed pods are retained close into the body, so a bit tricky to winkle the seeds out.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.
