This is the first of my few Epiphyllum to come into flower.
I was so excited when I spotted the buds (this is 25th March).
I thought it was going to flower over the Easter holiday so brought it home from my office to enjoy it at home.
As we left to go on holiday for 5 days it looked like this,
I bought it home this weekend, sure it would open this weekend and this what it looks like as I type.
Will it open tonight or wait until tomorrow?
The wait is killing me....

It is the anticipation which drives most hobbies.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

The waiting is over.
It was still opening when I went to bed last night but this is it now, It got a natural spread of 5" which doesn't seem bad for a first bloom.

Thanks both. My other four are in bud but, at the rate this one took, it will probably be June by the time they are open! Can't wait to see some of the giant ones if this is a medium/large sized flower!

Re: The wait is killing me....
The next one has opened today.
This is 'Pegasus'. It's 7" from petal (sepal?) tip to the other tip. So still a lot of size improvement as it can allegedly get closer to 12" across!

They are both rather nice.
I have rather a love hate relationship with Epiphyllums but their sins are forgiven when in flower.
