JL6 in flower

Post by FredG »

An unidentified plant from the Job Lot #6. Lovely pale lemon flower opening in late afternoon, no scent.
An ID would be appreciated.

Lovely. It's Deilanthe peersii. Typically opens at dusk and should be scented - may take a few warm days for the fragrance to develop.

@FredG
That's gone onto my "look out for and buy if you see it" list since I've invested in some new shelves. Bin plants or buy shelves .... decision time.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

I have a few Deilanthe /Aloinopsis thudichumi seedlings (apparently THIS is the afternoon flowering plant, as opposed to the night flowering D. / A. peersii) - I'll drop you a site mail.
