Having looked back at previous December competitions, I can't come up with a novel seasonal theme, so I'm resorting to an alphabetical theme.
So December's competition is any plant that fits the criteria D is for ...
It could be genus or species name - or common name if there is one. So an opportunity to dust off the Dendrocereus and Dendrosicyos - neither seem to get aired very often. Or any other D is for... that you have.
December 2021 D is for ...

I don't claim to be much of a photographer. But entering the Christmas spirit, here is my shocking pink offering. D is for Desdemona, one of the Schick hybrids.

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.
