Tending more towards cacti :D, particularly Gymnocalyciums, Rebutias, Sulcorebutias, Echinopses, Thelos, Feros and Mamms (and anything else I like the look of!) all in an 8 x 6 polycarb greenhouse and a few windowsills!

I know that people selling Sempervivums have to make a living but I'm always surprised that even though they're so easy to propagate they typically command prices of ?1.50. There are plenty of people selling seed-raised cacti for this sort of money which must represent a much greater investment.

These manage to undercut all the others by 10p:

Thanks for the link John,
it's interesting to read a bit about them!

As regards prices I have seen them often at boot fairs for pretty low prices but didn't buy them before as I thought they needed some sort of winter protection. Although now I think of it I saw some wild ones in the Alps a few years ago so they must get pretty darned cold at times!!!
What isn't clear is what you get for ?1.50, maybe just 1 rosette? It does seem a lot if it's the case!
