Silver Medal
And in second place in this years Pterocactus flowering competition is P. meglioli WG 267, I am afraid the australis has gone into a holding mode.

Re: Silver Medal
Interesting flower colour. I’ve had a mixed year with Pterocacti this year with several skipping flowering in favour of growth.

Re: Silver Medal
Mike I think that is quite common with a lot of plants not just cacti, my wife's fruit trees where laden with fruit two years ago, then last year they grew like crazy with very little fruit.
