I only grow a handful of the less spiteful Opuntioids, and it was nice to see this Puna clavaroides in flower today.

I've never got mine to flower.

Re: Puna clavaroides
I have mine for close to ten years. Also still waiting for a flower. They get all the cold I get in an unheated greenhouse. But that is not helping it to flower, apparently.

Re: Puna clavaroides
Does it have a scent?
Reading between the lines, very few people sniff flowers and yet many cacti flowers have very pleasant, sometimes gorgeous, scents. Many produce more of what I would call a(n) (pleasant) olfactory sensation, rather than an obvious scent.

No scent (I did sniff!). I keep it on a top shelf, so full sun most of the time, and I often forget to water it!
