Did my Euphorbia symmetrica purge its seeds?

Post by Cactimania »

So about a month ago I managed to successfully pollinate one of my Euphorbia obesa with symmetrica. Today I noticed most of the seed pods had fallen off the plant, without any of them exploding as I thought they would. I removed the husks but the seeds don’t look quite right, or don’t look how I expected them to. I can’t find pictures of symmetrica seeds online, just a few of obesa seeds and they look darker than these. There’s only one seed here that’s darker than the rest and looks how I expected them all to look. I’ll still sow them and see what happens but I’m not confident any will germinate. Your thoughts?

Cheers, Daz.
