Slugs and snails

Post by Chris L »

Is it me or are there more slugs and snails about than usual (for the time of year)?

Not your imagination. Loads of them. Damper and cooler than usual.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Thanks both.

I thought so, though I did spot quite a number setting out on patrol from the direction of one plant pot, so I wondered if a load of eggs were hatching..... but if it isn't just me that makes me feel a bit better.

I don't mind them too much in our flagstone garden, but it is horrible when they get in the GH....

Unfortunately I did find one of our garden frogs dead in the pond the other day so maybe the slime trailers will make a comeback
