Kedrostis africana fruit advice needed
My young Kedrostis has grown very well this year and has a few fruits developing. The earliest of these has turned orange, suggesting it is ripe. My question is; If I leave it on the plant will the fruit fall off or explode and lose the seeds? I would like to keep them. Then I guess clean the seeds thoroughly before storing cool and dry until next spring?

Adding a photo for you...
I picked the fruits when they had turned orange/red, then took the seeds out, cleaned them and stored some, planted some. The fruits will eventually fall off if left, they don't explode.

The fruit are supposed to be edible. I have eaten them, they are sort of tasty but with a bitter aftertaste, from memory. Sucking the flesh off is one way of cleaning the seeds!
