Aloe aff. montis-nabro

Post by Herts Mike »

I think this is my favourite Aloe for it’s wonderful colours.

I grew it from seed 4 years ago and it’s flowering for the first time with a multi branched flower

Montis- nabro was originally found at the foothills of the Nabro volcano in Eritrea but this comes from Berhale in Ethiopia which is just on the border.

Hi Mike, is seed available to your knowledge, id like to have one to use in my talk on Eritrean succulents. That area of Eritrea is stunning. Vast saltplains, desert and lots of volcanoes.

No idea Andy. I acquired the seed in 2018 from the Asclepiad Society collected by Wiebe Bosma.
