This plant was retrieved from Roy Mottrams place today. It was a mess but after some tidying up its turned out okay. There are two labels with it. 1. An old T label not one of Roys. Not his writing, Gasteria C/V 'spotted delight' £10. On the reverse side of the label is ex H Gaulton 1983.
2. Roys writing on one of his straight labels. Gasteria spotted delight . Ex H Gaulton
Questions. Gasteria spotted delight is not a cultivar I have heard of. Is it known?
Does the name H. Gaulton have any significance.

I'd go for Bicolor but if Tony comes up with something different he'll probably be right.

H. Gaulton will be the late Harold Gaulton of (I think) Manchester Branch. Suggest you contact them.
Thanks again for your rescue work Ernie.

Sadly Harold passed away many years ago (1997?) and I very much doubt anyone in branch will know about any particular plants.
Harold was the first person I met at my first meeting all the wsy back in 1992.
The 2007 branch newsletter has a biography of him and a picture.

Thank you. A very interesting read. I am pleased to have a plant that once belonged to such a gentleman
