The disappearance of Sanicat/Kitty friend

Post by Mike P »

I take it others have noticed the recent disappearance of Sanicat / Kitty friend cat litter? I contacted the manufacturer and was advised it has been discontinued following a large price hike in the price of Moler clay and they were unable to speculate as to when it might reappear. I haven’t check the Tesco product yet but I’m guessing it will have also been discontinued?

I couldn't get Tesco even online for long time already. Some of the spillage absorbents are pure moler clay, but they are also rather fine (2-3 mm?).

I bought a 30 litre bag of spillage absorbent molar clay which arrived earlier this week after looking online, it is about 2-3mm.

I've not bought any molar clay for several years now but the past few purchases were oil spill granules from eBay. The nearest Tesco to us is miles away and it became a pain to get, so I just ordered online and had it delivered.

The two I used were made by "Carlube" (white and salmon bag) and "All purpose absorbent granules" (white and yellow bag), both fading upwards to white from the colour at the bottom.

I only ever used it in seed sowing to charge the pot with a lot of water.

Can you post the product name?

The last time I bought some I got them from euro carparts, the bag they have now looks a little different so I don't know if it's the same

"100% recycled material" doesn't look good on this one.
