First Lithops to flower

Post by KarlR »

Well, the first one for me at least. I think this one is about a month early this year. June has been stunning so far.

I was sure it usually flowered in July for me, but I just checked and I see it flowered on June 27th last year. Still a couple of weeks early though. Been the best June for flowering that I can recall.

I believe I was thinking of ssp. volkii which flowers later in July.

I'm sure yours are just around the corner!

Nice one
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

I've got buds on some L. pseudotruncatella plants: "Alpina" which is usually my first into flower; a couple of ssp volkii; and a Pallid Form. Probably still a week or more from opening.
