I've been experimenting with more macro/close up photography these past few days. Trying to find a cheaper alternative to the dedicated macro lenses that seem to be fashionable. And I have. And it's an old fashioned solution from an old fashioned photography shop. Close up filters which screw onto the front of the camera. I bought two for GBP 5. In comparison to my very expensive macro lens ..... I'm more than impressed. And photography colleagues are too.
I'd recommend the technique should you want to get up close to your plants.

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.
