The storms seem to have completely bypassed us. This Orbea melanantha just popped open in the sunshine.

:woho: :woho: I have at last managed to flower a Pseudolithos migiurtinus!,I’m not sure where I obtained this one, as I’ve had a few over the last few years (which have collapsed on me at various times), but I think I acquired this one at a cactus mart about 4 or 5 years ago. It had to be rerooted at the time, and then was potted in a mineral mix, but never grew very much. I decided to repot a couple of months ago into a slightly richer mix, and it took off, quickly developing buds on two sides, and now in flower.

It is a permanent resident in my propagator, so kept nice and warm all the time.

(I now have to coax my seed-grown P. cubiformis to do the same…)

Piaranthus comptus. This is the variety that used to be called barrydalensis.

Congratulations diane, good to flower one of these beasties. Its also nice to know they can be rerooted.
I do like the little 'cilia' that wave about, wrong word as for mammals but you know what I mean.
