Message of behalf of Bill Darbon:
DISPOSAL OF THE COLLECTION OF THE LATE BARRY HANCOCK
Arrangements are being made to dispose of the plants from the collection of the late Barry Hancock. A list of plants is being complied and will be available when completed. All the plants have been kept over winter and are housed in a 8 x 8 greenhouse at his home in the Barnstaple area.
The collection is mainly Cacti with some Ariocarpus together with a number of unusual plants including some Cristates as well as a number of Mesembs., Some of the plants are of show quality.
Barry grew a lot from seed, all the plants are in good order and there are a number of smaller plants that will also be offered for sale.
At this time I am not sure whether the disposal will be by Auction or just an open day sale on a pre-determined basis - 1 by 1 on a rota - this will be determined near the time.
Sone members have already indicated that they may be interested in attending, so i am trying to establish what interest there is likely to be to decide the best course of action.
Please respond if you may be interested so that I can formulate a potential list of interested people.
Many thanks

Re: DISPOSAL OF THE COLLECTION OF THE LATE BARRY HANCOCK - 17th MARCH
Unfortunately I was unable to attend the Auction, as I went down with a bad migraine, but 5 days later I was able to clear the remainder of the unbrought lots so that Jill could deal with the empty greenhouse as she wished.
