a more traditional approach

I have several plants wanting to flower very late this year.
I took pity on this budding-up seedling about a week ago, put it in the propagator with warmth and light, and gave it some water.
Yesterday I noticed the outside of the well-developed bud seemed very yellow, I was surprised to find it opened to this lovely white.
Checking back, I can't find I've actually ordered seed of the white form, so I seem to have lucked out - all the other seedlings have flowered the normal orange.

This photo of a Delosperma aberdeenense flower was taken on my balcony this afternoon. Of course, from a photographic point of view, it's nothing but garbage - my apologies! But I'm moving to another city soon and my camera equipment is already packed.

As a substitute, I'm attaching two slightly older shots of this almost non-stop bloomer.

I keep this species outside all year in a pot without any protection. We've already had a light frost this year, but three flowers enjoyed the sun today. Sometimes there are a few seedlings popping up somewhere, e. g. next to a rosemary or chives, but they never become pesky.

Two other frost hardy mesembs, Prepodesma orpenii and Chasmatophyllum musculinum, had their flowers open until a few days ago. However, I have shown them here before, so this time no yellow flowers!
