Post by phil »

I have been trying to attach a photo to a new topic & each time I get the message "you have reached the maximum number of attachments" any ideas :(

I only get that when I edit a post that already has an image in. Can't think of any thing else that would cause it off the top of my head.

I get that every time I put a picture in, even with the first posting in any thread. I have always wondered how others put in as many pics as they want.

Multiple pictures in one post is by linking to pictures hosted elsewhere.

Very useful as it over comes the one per post limit, the size limit and makes it quicker to post pics.

However it has it's drawbacks, pictures disappear if people move hosts or delete them and for those still on dial-up it can take forever to view posts.

The maximum number of attachments is currently configured to 1. Once you have pressed the attach button, you will see the message indicating you have reached the maximum number of attachments.

There are also messages in the attach dialog indicating the allowed attachment types (jpg, gif, and png I think) and allowed maximum attachment size but these don't appear to show the information correctly. This is possibly a bug in the forum software.
