Flowers within less than 1 year?????
Impressive !!

Put it on ebay: "flowering size A. quinaria ssp. alstonii, never offered before"
I wonder how much people would be willing to pay for it.

I don't think its so out of the ordinary. All my Anacampseros seedlings started flowering within a year. Or at least produced buds which magically transitioned to seed capsules when I wasn't looking ;)

I've seen it on eBay before, it was very popular :)

Tending more towards cacti :D, particularly Gymnocalyciums, Rebutias, Sulcorebutias, Echinopses, Thelos, Feros and Mamms (and anything else I like the look of!) all in an 8 x 6 polycarb greenhouse and a few windowsills!

Hi Ian,

Well done!
I wonder if flowering at such a young age/small size has any detrimental effect on growth? Your little babies have been 'piling on the beef', will they now slow down after putting so much effort into flower?

cheers,
Brian

Hi Iann,
Don't underestimate your achievements I agree with the others.
Whilst I have flowered them from seed they are very slowwww. I find pricking the seedlings out you be very dexterous !!!
Well done quite an achievement.
