Clone 2 flowered tonight and I have to report there's no scent from that either.

I attempted a bit of juggling whilst I was down there. I used a handheld camera, a handheld torch and held the pot.
No other person was involved :???:

The results (apart from the Machairophyllum photos - see thread)

Clone 1, old flower showing much red on the petals.

Clone 2, no scent but larger flower than Clone 1..

I find the scent a bit hit and miss on these. Maybe better on warmer days, but I'm not sure it's as simple as that.

Having said that, last night there was a noticeable smell from the one open Neohenricia flower, and it hadn't been a hot day.

These are good for reliable scent, a cross between Neohenricia and Stomatium.

Or go the whole hog, guaranteed scent that fills the greenhouse.

Or a different sort of hybrid, between the two Neohenricia species. More of a curiosity than a blockbuster.
