I was a lot cooler Joy once I got back into the air conditioned cabin of the car, the Fero unfortunately had to endure the desert heat.
Blonde hair quite suits you Bill

Re: Dont be shy
On the back of a lorry in June's "Village Day" procession, theme was "Midsummer Carnival". I'm playing bass pans (steel drums for anyone not in the know) - "Rivers of Babylon".
Ever hopeful, trying to grow plants from arid sunny climates in the UK!
Lithops, Haworthia, Adromischus, other south African succulents including Ceropegia and some Crassula.

Re: Dont be shy
The topic is so interesting because some of forum members generously showed their face picture. In Taiwan, we're just too shy to show our face out in the forum. ( I am shy too. )
It's good of you that you showed yourself.

Ok here am I.
I'm in school having a class about cacti and succulents for the pupils. My co-worker-the biology teacher asked me to do it. I had the same class twice but then I changed school.

Re: Dont be shy
Hi Guys,
Here's me hunting dinosaurs and cacti in the Badlands of Alberta, Canada last summer. The only pic from this trip with me next to a cactus you've already seen, and the cactus is a fake, so I'll not repeat that here!

Hi Trevor,
You're looking good - not too sure about the Copiapoa though.

Re: Dont be shy
Thank Colin, but we all know that deep down you actually love Cacti! Did you find any Dinosaurs ?
Actually that's a pretty "famous" plant - it's the same plant they used in the Cactus Lexicon as the type photo for the species - the photo in the book was taken by Paul Klaassen.
My photo's actually taken from the wrong side (hadn't actually seen the Lexicon then !) and if you look in the Lexicon you can see it's surrounded by shrubbery. There was nothing at all there at the time of my visit. Paul must have taken the photo in an extraordinarily rainy season...

Hi Trevor,
Yep, we saw dinosaurs - Alberta's Badlands are renowned for these, but we didn't "find" them - they were on display at the museum, both indoors and outdoors. Here's one as an example; this is Centrosaurus:
