Auction of Melvyn West’s Plants at Bridlington
Following the sad death of Melvyn West, his plants and some other greenhouse equipment are to be sold by auction. Melvyn has been showing at Bridlington for many years and without fail has achieved “most points in open classes” despite many attempts to challenge him. Melvyn has been growing cactus and succulent plants for about 50 years. There are some spectacular plants to be sold.
The auction will take place on Saturday 21st January starting at 12 noon with viewing from about 10am. The terms of the auction are cash only with plants to be taken away at the end of the sale once money has been received. No plants will be sold prior to the auction. All lots are to be sold in “as seen” condition, no warranty of condition or correct naming is given or implied.
The auction will take place at Melvyn’s greenhouse which is at:
59 Avocet Way, Kingsgate, Bridlington, YO15 3NT
For further information contact the Bridlington Branch Secretary, Ann Hudson. See BCSS website for email contact details or telephone 01262 678767.
