Anyone fancy supply cacti for the Proms?
The BBC have contacted the society and are looking to hire about 25 cacti large enough to be seen by the audience at the Albert Hall, 12in pot size has been suggested, these will be "played" by members of the orchestra during a performance of John Cage's, piece called branches. The performance is a few day after the National and one would assume they will be wanted well in advance of that, the contact has assured us that no plants will be harmed as a result of this.
If anyone is interested in please contact Eddy Harris the society secretary for more information.
