I like the prickly little character on the banner. Does s/he have a name?

No, perhaps we'll have to have a competition or something.

It's taken me several minutes to get the connection between the Roman garb and 'forum'.

Re: The 2012 National Thread
I wish we have an event like this up here.
The ELK is the only succulent event that I have ever visited that can compete with the enormous amount of tables and large space I see on these pictures.

Re: The 2012 National Thread
I'm back home, being lucky enough to not be too far away (near Cambridge). I got my sales table set up - more plants fitted on than I thought, so not too many stashed behind to be brought up later (there are quite a few more leafless Massonia bulbs which obviously don't make much of a display!). I've selected a couple of plants from the greenhouse that someone asked if he could have. So finally time for a few beers; watch the cricket highlights; feed the various tame garden birds; see whether anyone's at home in the swift nestbox (they are still, a couple of weeks after most young have fledged and set off for Africa); and prepare to be boiled-alive tomorrow after rather a hot day today.
Oh - and met Bill Hildyard at the forum stand. Maybe I'll buy a badge tomorrow. Come and say hello anyway.
