First one of this year's seed has come through. These were from Mark Davies seeds.

I was watering my orchids with a mycorrhizal fungi and seaweed extract so used this on the seeds. First one through in about 5 days. Will be interesting to see if the concoction makes a difference to the rest coming through.

Three more through so far. Anyone else got some on the go this year?

I've got them sat above an open topped fish tank Tina so they're getting some light and a bit of warmth but not too much!

Now for the ones that have germinated. Don't knock the green shoot while you're doing it IME.

So last one germinated and transplanted. I seem to have lost one in the process so far but very pleased with 100% germination rate. Not sure who supplied the seeds to the society this year but good work whoever it was.

Good work Mike. I'm having a nightmare with mine this year and have lots ungerminated and have lost about half of those that have! But my plants from previous years are doing great so chalk it up to something!

You can put the pot into a plastic bag and seal it to save keep watering. Plants will be fine.
