Raised beds in small greenhouse

I have a very small greenhouse and a few plants I have grown from seed (well the agaves) so decided to build some raised beds and make the greenhouse somewhere to sit with my wife and enjoy the plants. I will need shading though before next summer and I am hoping the agaves do not grow too quickly. No problem if they do though as I will pot up and use in the garden. Can anyone I.D. the plant in the last pic please? It was a gift and I have no idea what it is so it's the only one without a label!

Welcome to the forum! And good luck with your little greenhouse. Fortunately Agaves are not usually fast growers, so they should be OK for the time being.

The mystery plant in your last photo would appear to be Abromeitiella brevifolia (Deutercocohnia) which is a member of the Bromeliaceae, as far as I can tell, I’ve never grown it.

Welcome to the Forum Tim, that's a nice set up you have there and I'm sure that your plants will do well. :welc:

Nice work Tim. Do you have another greenhouse to put the Ensete in over-winter?

Oh no I seem to have just deleted my post by trying to check the box so I get notified of posts.

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the I.D. Diane, I will get it labelled up now. This is my only greenhouse and the Ensette over-wintered in it last year, along with a few other tender 'exotics'. It was a dilemma but I really fancied giving the space over to the cacti and succulents. The others will be going into the garage this winter, which has good windows in it so with a bit of luck they will be o.k. I think I will bring my Monstera in the conservatory but the non-hardy palms are a bit on the big side and the Dasylirion serratifolium is a bit lethal so will definitely not be granted entry!
