Errrrr it's already a thread so a bit late for that.
Incidentally the final bud opened today to give a group of seven.
There was also quite a good scent of liquorice permeating the greenhouse, confirmed by MrsG.

By liquorice do you mean aniseed-flavoured liquorice, the usual sort we get here? Liquorice itself has a more subtle scent.

I used to chew liquorice root and that's the scent I recall
Not the full in your face commercial sweetmeat.
