I find the whole thing about Echinopsis hybrids fascinating and sometimes infuriating. Is the plant diurnal? Or is it nocturnal? Have I missed it because it flowered through the night and it's now closing therefore not worth wandering back to the house for a camera or cellphone? Or do I do a few jobs while I am waiting here for it to open, like a senior citizen waiting to collect a pension at the post office at 08h50 on a Monday morning. Is the plant a viable proposition for further hybridisation? Or is it seed sterile? Or might it have viable pollen? When is the optimum time to collect pollen from this plant? Have a got a suitable donor pollen in the 'fridge?
But ..... don't I just love 'em?
