A proud moment, as it took me a couple of year to get a single plant of the species, and another year of cultivation in my conditions, but I was rewarded today with its first flower (and more to come) - R. macrolobum, Tom McCoy Yem 92:

Lovely emerald flower. I love the old twig look.
Mine was a totally different colour. From IAS seed in 2013. Died a few years ago when I moved house. The new growth was juicy, tender and tasted pleasant.

I prefer the green one. And Maciej - if you are ever tempted to eat it - don't, send me a cutting instead!
But I've just remembered I owe you a favour already...

No eating here! The plant does not want to branch much for me, so it does not look like there will be any cuttings taken anytime soon.
Oh, no you don't!

I’ve also grown them from seed, flowered them, lost them.
Seed doesn’t turn up very often.
