A few Stapeliads are starting to flower now, so I thought I’d share.
First is what I’m pretty sure is a
Huernia hybrid, ‘Speckled Jim’ - no label, and one I thought I had lost:
- Huernia ‘Speckled Jim’
Orbea semota more yellow in real life:
- Orbea semota
Huernia volkartii v. repens:
- Huernia volkartii v. repens
A rather washed-out
Huernia insigniflora:
- Huernia insigniflora
Huernia boleana:
- Huernia boleana
Huernia transvaalensis just opening:
- Huernia transvaalensis
- Huernia transvaalensis
And
Orbea wissmannii which seems to be pretty indestructible:

Excellent Diane! But don't get overoptimistic - O. wismannii is not indestructible in my experience.
Yours is certainly flowering well, I must say. And my new one is doing OK too...

Huernia 'Speckled Jim' was a hybrid from Miles Anderson in Tucson, named after a pigeon!

Lovely show Diane.
For some reason my semota has stopped flowering. But that's Stapeliads for you.

Speckled Jim was General Melchett’s favourite carrier pigeon unfortunately shot and eaten by Blackadder.

Here's my Huernia hystrix in flower. The first bud is a bit cramped but there are many more coming through.
