Patience

Post by Cidermanrolls »

Two top-cuts that I took in spring 2020 have finally rooted in the last week.
Echinopsis Margaret Martin was so dry that I would have thrown it out at the end of the summer, but it is now plumping up nicely.
Trichocereus Pink Stripes is an absolute horror to root, but today I found a first root forming. I’ve managed to root three cuttings of this, but all have taken 6 months or more.
Patience pays, sometimes..

Good to know they can still root after so long. I have an Echinopsis pup that hasn't rooted still after buying it in February!

Do you remember me mentioning a parcel of Haworthias that got stuck in the post for 6 months? Well, I potted them up anyway. Several died in fairly short order, but to my amazement three of them are now developing into normal, healthy plants!
